I am a daddy's girl and my mother is my best friend! I couldn't have asked for better parents. They have always given me great love and support. I have an older sibling, Stephen. He is married and has a sweet wife and a beautiful little girl. Some of my favorite memories as a child are with him, except for the times he locked me in the closet.
I have grown up in the same church for 24 years and I have a wonderful pastor, Bishop Don Johnson. This is where I met my hunky husband Tim. Before Tim and I started dating, I made a list of what I wanted in a husband and prayed over it. The Lord answered my prayer exactly! We now have two beautiful and wonderful daughters, Kali who is 6 years old and Mollie 18 months.
Singing has been with me all my life. I wake up singing and go to bed singing. I decided early in life that I wanted to be a gospel singer. As I grew older, Mom and I would sing church songs in the car. When I was in high school, I began to sing in church. This is when I truly began to fall in love with God.
I have sung in talent shows and programs but it was always such a different feeling when I would sing and use my talent for the Lord. I love to sing and use my talent for the Lord. I love to bless people and the Lord seems to use me to bless them.
One day the Lord told me I would make a CD within a year. About six months later I questioned the Lord and asked "Am I supposed to find a producer or are you going to send someone to me?" People began to tell me to call Burton Gaar. I had heard that he was not taking outside clients anymore. I had prayed that God would send me to the right producer. I called him in hopes that he would recommend me to another producer and help me find some songs because I had nothing. I left a message on his machine. Later he returned my call and his first words were "I'll take you!" I went to sing for him and he suggested that we do an entire CD of original songs. I told him I had no songs but he said "I'll find them for you." I listened to several demos and the Lord lead me to which songs to sing. Each song is personal. I feel like the Lord allowed me to go through things and these songs uplifted me. I know the Lord's anointing is on these songs. I can feel it when I sing them. I know God wants me to use these songs to minister to people, especially to encourage them to "Carry On". My mission is to sing of God and pray that my family, friends and many sinners will come to know Him from the "Inside Out". -Stephanie
